March has been full of fun. We enjoyed a few weeks of a slower pace after the basketball season ended and before softball/baseball starts (aka today).
We've been enjoying the fellowship of our Life Group through church. We did an "adult only" lunch and bowling which was a lot of fun.

Owen and Willow were both writing stories one night and it made this mama's heart melt!!

I've heard of "Escape Rooms" but had never tried one. Willow mentioned that a few friends went for a birthday party so I thought maybe they would be ok for kids to try too. We had sooooo much fun! I didn't know too much of what to expect and thankfully we were able to ask for lots of hints to help us through. We found all the keys/combinations to unlock the chest and ring the bell with 2 minutes to spare. The clues were all so clever - we definitely want to try it again!

We celebrating Grandpa's 72nd birthday before he went on a 10-day trip to Israel!
I enjoyed the state reading conference out of town and came back to this sweet card that Owen wrote. On the morning I left, I had to wake him up a couple minutes early for school so I could say goodbye and he groggily said, "Can't they reschedule it????"
We've enjoyed lots of nerf battles lately. We got a 4th nerf gun so now we can all participate (though all guns are not created equal!!). There are lots of nerf "egg hunts" when it's over otherwise our floor would always look like this:
Kim, Mom, and I snuck away for a Girls Night - dinner and a movie. The theater was unreal with recliner seats!!
Owen enjoys the Kiwi Crate boxes he gets monthly from the Caldwells. Each box comes with a themed sticker to fill up a chart. He filled up his first chart and created his own chart to fill up now!
We enjoy going to a few minor league hockey games during their season. We went to one recently that had a weiner dog race between periods. It was hysterical! Check out the finals.
Popcorn (and texting with Kim and Nana) keep the kids entertained. Here's the team returning for the 2nd period.
If the team scores 4 points or more, your ticket gets you a free chicken biscuit from Bojangles. We'd never been before, but how can you pass up free food? Hockey doesn't keep Owen's interest too much and the games last pretty late, so we've never made it to the end of a game before. They had Wizard Night this weekend, so just Willow and I went to a game and stayed until the end. Go figure it would go into overtime AND a shootout before it finished, but it sure made for an exciting game to watch. I loved seeing her burst into cheers when they scored because she truly was watching the puck the whole game. They scored 4 points in that game too, but Willow ended up throwing up twice that night so she didn't feel up to eating hers.
We're enjoying more spring-like temperatures lately. It's great to see the boys getting some fresh air and energy out together!
