Massanutten

We had a great weekend with family in Massanutten. Sledding was fun and not terribly cold. The tracks would spin you around like a top, so we found it easiest to pair up to avoid that. When going back up to the top, I heard a lady behind me say, "Look at that old man spinning!" I looked over and realized, "That's my dad!!" We enjoyed the water park too, but didn't get any pictures. The kids did an escape room and we watched Winter Olympics and played games when we were back at the unit. Good times!

Hand to Hand Wombat is definitely more fun with more than 4 people. We had fun playing Dicecapades too!

Massanutten fun!

We've enjoyed getting to Massanutten with family in the winter to enjoy sledding and the water park the past couple years. We get tickets during the first timeslot of the day so there's not a wait to speak of at the top. It sure is nice having the conveyor belt to bring you back to the top!

The indoor waterpark is nice to enjoy year-round too! The adults usually hit the slides together while the kids have fun together in the water.
There's always time for games!
Sweet Willow got me these for Valentine's day!

Massanutten

The grandkids often get to Massanutten with Nana and Grandpa but the adults like fun things too, so this winter we all tagged along. We enjoyed sledding (manmade snow) and the water park as well as lots of games at the unit!

They have black mats at the bottom to slow you down and stop you. Kim must've had a super slick tube!! She flew past all the black mats and landed in the emergency mat!! The workers added more black mats after that!

The kids made birthday cards for Nana, Kim, and Chad. It was sweet to see what Owen chose to draw based on what each of them likes.

Owen is getting better at the birthday song on his clarinet! He also did a duet with Hannah on her violin!

Random Catchup

Nana and Grandpa enjoy taking the cousins to Massanutten. In January they took a long weekend to enjoy the water park and sledding!

Nana always has projects for them!

We enjoyed a couple hockey games over the winter. Our minor league team did really well this year, going on to win the whole league!

The sweet PE teacher at my school volunteers with the team and had them put my name up for my birthday...spelled really close ;)

Grandpa always enjoys hearing what Willow is learning in math when we get together. :)

Our "fence neighbors" moved and we've missed our chats over the fence. It warmed my heart to see Owen chatting with the girl who moved in!

I took Owen and a couple of his buddies to a Pokémon event at the public library. They were in heaven!

Willow has really enjoyed her Radish Kids kits that come in the mail monthly. She recently got caught up on putting her badges on her apron.

Grandpa got Willow a sewing machine for Christmas and Nana has been working with her on learning to use it. They've worked on some projects for the SPCA!

We haven't been as diligent with having Owen help with meals (like we had been during COVID) but he gets put to work every once in a while!

I took advantage of last minute tickets to see Annie in town with Willow. The tickets were super cheap for being 6 rows away from the stage!

It's hard to believe it's already time to register the kiddos for middle school and high school! Eek!
