We had smooth traveling and road conditions for our drive to PA for Christmas. Thankfully Chris' back has been doing great, which made the drive less painful than in July! He about gave Gramma a heart attack, though, when he got out of the car pretending to be in a lot of pain!
They'd gotten snow before we arrived but there wasn't any snow in the forecast while we were there. Within 15 minutes of arriving, the kids had already had a snowball fight AND built a snowman!

This is what most of Christmas day looked like: kids building Lego sets.
The snow lasted for 3 days, despite the 50-degree temperatures. The kids enjoyed sledding on the neighbor's yard.

Gramps hasn't been able to do his daily walks since he had his pacemaker put it. He got cleared for walking the day we drove up, so we were able to get out and walk around downtown.

Chris and Gramps went to see the new Star Wars movie and this time Owen got to go along! It was his first Star Wars movie in the theater!
Chris had me write this verse for the Shannons as a gift. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures with them during our breakfast.
One of the kids' favorite things to do is
play rough with Uncle Don and Uncle Jan. This time even Uncle Steve got in on it!
