Owen's Preschool Graduation

It's hard to believe our days of having preschoolers are over!!! How did this happen?? Owen had his last day of school on Thursday, then graduated that night. They do a great job with the ceremony, songs, and slideshow. I think Owen would like it better without the song part:

His buddy Lilly tries to reassure him it'll be ok!

He wasn't so "Happy and You Know It." He wasn't so H-A-P-P-Y about being on the stage for about 10 songs (seriously!!). He didn't "Just Wanna Be a Sheep" nor "Have a Song in His Tummy". Despite the songs being cute ("Spaghetti"), he finds different ways to "Praise Him Too" (notice everyone yawning in this one???).

Maybe he was just tired??

Almost looks like a smile!!

Owen has really enjoyed his teacher, Mrs. Deeter:

Owen - Preschool

Preschool has been killin' me with the cute photos coming home or being posted on FB lately!!

Gramma was able to attend their "Muffins with Moms" event since I was stuck in SOL testing (sniff sniff):

Chris was able to attend their "Donuts with Dads" event:

And he's been making us all laugh lately. Chris jokingly put his paper towel on his head. He kept on as if he didn't notice it. We're not quite sure if that was part of his joke, or if he truly didn't even know it was there!

Remember this picture when Owen was as tall as an iris?

Now he's a head taller than an iris!

Holiday Performances

December has proven to be a busy month, partially due to the kids' holiday performances. Owen didn't seem to enjoy the music time on Wednesday nights like Willow did, so we stopped fighting that battle halfway through the fall. We were grateful to have both sets of grandparents present to see her performance though! We were also thankful for the zoom lens on our camera to be able to see Willow from the balcony. She's to the left of the boy in the green shirt.

Willow's school also performed the Nutcracker. She was really excited! Seating for the performance was ridiculous. It was 1st and 2nd grade performing and it would probably still be packed even if it was just one grade level. Here was our view:

Owen's preschool sang songs for parents. Thankfully they've switched it to the evening so it's easier to attend. He was not so thrilled with being in front of a crowd!

Honestly, I think he was reading the lyrics on the screen in the back of the room half the time!
His "perfect match" might just be on the other side of the stairs!!

Enjoy watching his friends sing ;)
