Owen continues to enjoy karate. Now that he has a phone, there's a group chat they've named Karate Kids. It's a great group of kids that I'm excited to see him progress with. He and Landon can skip some belt colors since they're in the adult class only now but neither of them want to, so it seems like he just had a belt test as they work their way through all of the belts.

Willow's spring dance recital
Since Willow decided not to do basketball this year, she added a couple other dance classes to Hip Hop, which she had done in the fall. It kept her busy and doing what she loves! Here's her contemporary dance.
Final Bake Sale
Willow had her last bake sale fundraiser in May. She offered chocolate dipped strawberries, strawberry bread, dipped Oreos with M&M flower, and chocolate chip cookies. Gratefully, many friends, coworkers, and family members supported her and kept her busy! She's sure learned a lot through this process and should be so proud of the money she raised! She raised $3,241, which covers half of both of her trips!
Mother's Day
I was grateful to be able to spend time with my mom and Patti this Mother's Day. What a blessing to have them both nearby!
Owen's Spring Band concert
Owen has enjoyed continuing to play his clarinet as part of the 7th grade band and his saxophone as part of the 7th grade jazz band. He's never complained about the early mornings for jazz band and even impressed the director enough to be one of about 10 students invited to be part of the high school marching band as 8th graders next year!
The high school band director also directs the 7th and 8th grade jazz bands.
The middle school band director leading the 7th grade band:
Owen with some of his buddies, looking sharp in all black!
We're always thankful to have family there to support!
