Tilly and Whiskers

Here are some pictures of Tilly and Whiskers lately:

The girls do not care for being in the car. Thankfully the vet is only 5 minutes away!

Whiskers' "safe place" while at the vet:
Whiskers' ET moment in Willow's closet:
We like to call this keeping her "browns brown"
Tilly often comes to the back door, which might indicate that she wants to come back in. Many times, though, she meows and DOESN'T come in. We call it Tilly wanting a friend outside. She has a flatted "Tilly Trail" to the "Petting Stairs" where she enjoys having a friend for a bit then will walk away. She's particular.
Can you spy the cat?
A rare moment that Owen would die for daily:
Tilly takes petting on her terms. Unfortunately Owen knows that and doesn't want to disturb her, though he's dying to love on her:
It's funny to see what TV catches Whisk's attention. She seems to like football too!
Whisk now knows SIT, HIGH FIVE, and SPIN!

Tilly loves to smell good and will rub herself all over good smelling things. I'd been laying on our bedroom floor to stretch and she apparently liked the smell of my conditioner!

She'll rub herself on the kids' bathroom floor too. I figure it must be Willow's hair products or perfume. Tilly likes to smell beautiful!

Whisk tries to relax me while working ;)

Who is winning? Whiskers or the blind rod?

Tilly loves certain strings and this one was special to her for some reason. It was Owen's rookie necklace from band camp. She carried it around to a few places around the house.

Tilly loves the laser pointer!

Whisk is definitely treat motivated! She's figured out every treat dispenser we've gotten them!

Christmas Fun

I think I won Christmas by finding out about these advent ice cream boxes from the local creamery! We tried flavors we might not have otherwise but also found out about flavors we'd never get again ;)
At school we had a "Dress Like a Christmas Song" day. The reading team dressed as "No-L" (aka Noel)
We enjoy going to the Illuminights to walk around and see the lights. It's fun to look for our favorites but also for new ones that they've added. Gramma joined us this year!

Willow and I had reindeer dress up days on the same day at school. I wore Owen's reindeer pajamas from last year and Willow chickened out on wearing hers but did borrow a brown sweater and an antler headband.

Owen had Christmas song sheet music from school and was very excited to play a few songs on Christmas morning!
Gramps and Gramma came over Christmas morning to watch the kids open gifts. Tilly and Whiskers got a couple new toys. This treat maze said on the packaging that cats have 4 legs and 1 brain and need to exercise all 5. :)  This will keep them busy when we're out of the house!
We headed over to Nana and Grandpa's for lunch and time together.

The boys dedication to their candy train has definitely decreased over the years!
Willow can usually tell you a whole story about hers!
Owen got this fun sign for Christmas. He loves when the cats get in his bed. Whiskers is usually the only one to sleep in his bed though. It makes him so sad if she jumps out of his bed before he falls asleep.
If you're wondering about Belle, our Elf on the Shelf, she didn't make many moves this year. Owen admitted to not believing (for a few years, he said) so it was like a flip switched in my brain. I told the kids we could rotate hiding her and they seemed excited but then she only got moved 3 times. Clearly I'm either all-in or all-out.

Father's Day

We're grateful to have two grandfathers and an amazing father to celebrate on Father's Day this year! What a blessing to be able to spend time with them all!A little history lesson with Grandpa:

The kids and cats (and photographer!) did a great job this year for dad's picture frame!

Even the employee at CVS was entertained by Whiskers' picture! ;) I ended up taking a video and a screenshot to get her tongue out. She loves "joining in" when Chris waters the plants so it was only appropriate! Here are a few outtakes:
