Fun with Friends

Owen isn't ready for a belt test again, but his friends tested for a stripe on their green belts, then they got treated to Sonic shakes afterwards. Not a bad deal for Owen!

We met up with one of Owen's friends from school at the trampoline park. It's the same friend who got him a "bum" shirt for his birthday. They both quickly became sweaty bums and had a great time together!

The hurricane simulator helped them dry off their sweat!

We met a different friend from school at the cat cafe then got lunch together. One of the cats was a hugger, aka Owen's dream!! There were a few other cuddlers that he helped love on. 

A friend took Owen and his karate buddies to see the new Karate Kid movie. It was only appropriate to take a picture in saen chen together!

Snow Day!

We got a little bit of snow, which was enough to cancel school and clear out our calendar!

Fun with the Murrays!

We were excited to have the Murrays visit for the weekend! Cadence picked a trip to see us for her birthday vs. a birthday party at home. We were so honored! We don't see the Murrays as often as we'd like, but are always able to pick up as if no time were lost when we're together. 

We had a sidewalk celebration emoji to welcome the birthday girl and Willow made her a birthday cake!

So grateful for this sweet friend!!

These two have always been two peas in a pod!

We had a rainy Saturday so we opted to try a new indoor trampoline park that opened recently in town. Apparently we weren't the only ones with the idea :/ We had a bit of a wait in order to play, then Morgan and I opted to watch instead of participate like we usually would. Thankfully there were enough areas to play that the kids didn't have to spend too much time waiting. 

They enjoyed this "king of the mountain" area, even taking on random teenage boys!

This slide was the main thing I wanted to try. You get some good air time at the bottom!

The kids enjoyed these trapeze bars too!

This rotating arm is harder to jump over than you'd think!

Earlier that morning we'd gone over to the Murray's fun rental house that had a game room in the basement. The kids and adults had fun!

On Friday night we had dinner, cake, and a campfire in the backyard. The kids even claimed to have room for s'mores!

Thanks for coming, Murrays!

Trampoline Park

We picked up two of Willow's friends and met Owen's friend at the trampoline park. We love when they have good summer deals!

Christmas in VA

We were blessed with a white Christmas in VA this year! I'm not sure if that's ever happened before! It was a fun surprise since it'd been rainy and mid-50s all day Christmas Eve!

The kids set out cookies and milk for Santa!

Whiskers was dangerously curious about it...

Santa came with Minecraft and Harry Potter Legos and a new scratching post and food dishes for the kittens.

Whiskers enjoyed the view from inside but Tilly bolted out the door to check it out.

The living room quickly became a disaster zone!

After presents the kids enjoyed playing outside (even though it was in the low 20s!!):

Trampoline fun!

Tilly was hiding under a little table so Chris rescued her. I'm not sure what her plan was...

We headed up to Nana and Grandpa's for the rest of the day. The kids were blessed with more thoughtful gifts and enjoyed time playing together...and lots of yummy food!

Disaster zone strikes again!
