Dance showcase

Willow is enjoying being part of a performing arts program through a regional school. They had a choral concert in the fall, then had their dance showcase in January, followed by a theater production in the spring. This year it's Tuck Everlasting. Of the 3 parts, Willow seems to enjoy and be progressing with dance the most. All we knew going in, was that she was part of 6 dances and that we knew 2 dances she had been selected to be in, which involved a few extra practices on teacher workdays. She really surprised us with her solo in the first dance though! We're not quite sure where she got those moves nor that confidence from but are so proud of her!

Although Nana and Grandpa weren't able to make it (they're vacationing in Florida for a month!!!), Gramps and Gramma were there, as well as a sweet couple from church, and my childhood friend Erin and her son. They even brought her flowers! We're so proud of you, sweetie!

Happy New Year!

Owen had some friends over to ring in the new year, while Willow went over to Gramps and Gramma's to get better quality sleep :) She was also feeling sick, which would've messed up any plans she wanted to have anyways. It was A LOT of boy energy! Every sleepover we have, I wish we had a basement. :) Technology is also such an attention suck for them all - it's very eye opening and discouraging. Owen doesn't have a phone nor a Switch so I empathized with him a lot as his friends connected on games on their devices. In hindsight, I would've done a few things different, but we learned from it and will take a break from sleepovers for a while. They did enjoy foosball, the trampoline, Nerf battles, and a few games. Boys bring noise!! I took this video to not be obvious about what I was doing.
