Happy Easter and Willow's Baptism!

We were thrilled when Willow told us that she wanted to affirm her faith through baptism! Little did we know, she'd be ready to proclaim her faith since her mission trip last summer! We were proud to see the seeds of faith that were planted in her heart as a child, grow as a teenager! In preparation for baptism, Willow and I attended the church's Faith Basics class, then she met with the Associate Pastor on her own!
Each person shares their 3-word testimony: Who they were before Christ, what turned them to Christ, and what they look for after committing to Christ.

We're always so grateful to family for showing up!!

The baptism was done on Easter, so family came over, after Golden Corral, for an egg hunt and hanging out. The boys tried the kids' new badminton rackets. We have some learning to do!
Let the sorting and bartering begin!!

Happy Easter!

We enjoyed celebrating Easter with the Rexroad side of the family before Easter. The kids hunted for Easter eggs and we enjoyed a meal together. The kids woke up Easter morning and found eggs around the house and a basket by their door as well!

We enjoyed Easter dinner with Gramps and Gramma in the afternoon!

Easter

The candy from the Easter bunny keeps getting smaller and smaller but our candy hunters keep getting better! The kids enjoyed getting lots of candy at home AND at Nana and Grandpa's later in the day!

Easter

As the kids get older, the size of their Easter eggs get smaller! We haven't found as many "after the fact" eggs, so we'll take that as a sign that they're getting better at seeking!

Willow made this cool "I Am..." project for her door from her Easter basket:

Happy Easter!

Easter sure felt different this year! There are so many emotions that go along with being quarantined and it hits me in waves. It was strange to be doing church online on Easter, not Zooming with our Life Group (which has become part of our Sunday routine), not seeing family, no family pictures dressed up. It got better (for me) after Zooming with family then having a nice Easter dinner. The kids didn't seem bothered by anything. They were excited about their Easter baskets, enjoyed their Easter egg hunt, and did a great job of playing together outside. A few days before that we'd made sugar cookies together:

And "round two" a few days later...because all we're doing is eating over here!!

They made out pretty well!

Here is our Easter picture for church (thanks for the masks Nana!!)

Happy Easter!

The kids had a great Easter! They woke up to a basket by their door and found quite a few eggs around the house (more smaller wrapped eggs than plastic eggs). We had a great morning at church then headed to Nana and Grandpa's in the afternoon to enjoy a meal with family. The kids enjoyed an egg hunt there as well as dying eggs and playing games with Hunter and Hannah!
