Superbowl Champs!!

The kids helped me make a cake to celebrate Nana and Aunt Kim's birthdays. We must've forgotten to take a picture of the final product, but it definitely wasn't lacking in pink nor sugar!!

We wore our Bronco gear to get in the spirit a day early since it's hard to watch the game together when everyone has bedtimes an hour after kickoff! The husbands are always the default photographers when Bronco pictures are involved!

We made some junkfood snacks and let the kids stay up until halftime to help cheer on the Broncos. We were happy to walk away with a win this time!!!

Not-so-"super"-bowl

We thought we had it all right....sticker decals on the windows...Broncos posters on the walls....pizza...junk food...large fan club...but unfortunately the Broncos didn't show up for the game on Sunday night for the Superbowl. Despite the disappointing game, it was fun to be surrounded by family (and junk food...)!

Willow and Owen helped make Rolo cookies:

Owen isn't quite as patient as Willow was at his age with baking and the delayed gratification coming AFTER helping. The little stinker kept sticking those Rolos in his MOUTH and not the BOWL! It was still a good fine-motor activity for him though =)

(Note that both husbands are missing from this picture. Chad was wearing orange but said that it was a coincidence.)

MLK weekend = fort + puzzles + painting + BRONCOS!

Willow's preschool had Thursday and Friday off before MLK weekend for some reason. Chris enjoyed his day off on Friday with the kids. I came home to this elaborate fort:

The perfect place to hide away and read!

The boy loves queso!
Sometimes when you grow up with an older sister, this happens:

I looooove when this happens:

Clean-up is just as fun!

We enjoyed cheering on the Broncos on Sunday at Kim and Chad's while celebrating Uncle Chad's 40th birthday too!

Nana and Grandpa came up to play on Monday! Here's a better baseball video of Owen.

Owen's got some serious projects to work on around the house:
