Owen's Preschool Graduation

It's hard to believe our days of having preschoolers are over!!! How did this happen?? Owen had his last day of school on Thursday, then graduated that night. They do a great job with the ceremony, songs, and slideshow. I think Owen would like it better without the song part:

His buddy Lilly tries to reassure him it'll be ok!

He wasn't so "Happy and You Know It." He wasn't so H-A-P-P-Y about being on the stage for about 10 songs (seriously!!). He didn't "Just Wanna Be a Sheep" nor "Have a Song in His Tummy". Despite the songs being cute ("Spaghetti"), he finds different ways to "Praise Him Too" (notice everyone yawning in this one???).

Maybe he was just tired??

Almost looks like a smile!!

Owen has really enjoyed his teacher, Mrs. Deeter:

Owen - Preschool

Preschool has been killin' me with the cute photos coming home or being posted on FB lately!!

Gramma was able to attend their "Muffins with Moms" event since I was stuck in SOL testing (sniff sniff):

Chris was able to attend their "Donuts with Dads" event:

Preschool graduation pics (sniff sniff):

And he's been making us all laugh lately. Chris jokingly put his paper towel on his head. He kept on as if he didn't notice it. We're not quite sure if that was part of his joke, or if he truly didn't even know it was there!

Remember this picture when Owen was as tall as an iris?

Now he's a head taller than an iris!

Preschool graduation

We enjoyed celebrating preschool graduation with Willow today. Her school did a great job of recognizing each student, allowing them to walk across a little bridge (and "bridge" into the next chapter of their life, the director said) and pose for parents. The kids got on the stage and sang quite a few songs together (we had a conversation later about sitting like a lady...haha):
Jesus Loves Me
Five Little Monkeys
Help Me Jesus
Let's Go Swimming

We then got to splurge on cookies and brownies while taking pictures with friends and teachers. It was a great morning!

Here's her teacher, Mrs. Whitlock:

Owen did a great job clapping for each kid as they went across the bridge. He did his best to hang through the whole ceremony =)

This afternoon Willow had her 5 yr well visit and 3 Kindergarten shots =(  She did an excellent job and handled it like a champ (much better than I feared!!). We tried Sonic for the first time for dinner since we didn't have a lot of time between the doctor's appointment and her last Wednesday night music night at church. She had a busy day, but made sure to have time to enjoy some of a Sonic milkshake:
