Our local library held a "Barks and Books" event where you could go read to a therapy-trained dog. Oddly enough, the therapy dog that listens to students at my school read (Duncan) was the dog volunteering during the time we signed Willow up for! She did a great job reading some books from home but was nonchalant about reading to him =) At least she wasn't afraid, so we're making steps in the right direction with dogs =)
There's a new Peter Pan themed playground that was opened a couple weeks ago. The kids have enjoyed it a few times already! It's nicely shaded and right next to the newly renovated library as well as a newer splash area. I foresee many summer playdates in that block of town!
Gramps is going with this theme (from the window of the new play area):
It had been over a year since we visited the local Transportation Museum. We had free passes for the kids so we decided to give it another go since Owen's been into all modes transportation. It's about the same as I remember. "OK" but not amazingly interesting for them.
Willow and Owen sure melt my heart when they play nicely together. Check them out playing "Horsey." Owen cracks me up telling her "steady."
