The kids were super helpers in helping me distribute valentine cards for my virtual class this year. Since they didn't really get to pass out valentines at school, at least they got to help in this way. There's nothing like the excitement of seeing my students open up these bags on WebEx though! I did a party bag before winter break too and it's so fun to see their excitement!

February Wrap up
February has been filled with lots of basketball but a few other things too!
I love when Owen takes his time in making birthday cards and thinks about what the person he's making it for likes.
They had Dollar Days at school and Owen made popcorn coated with chocolate and sprinkles to "sell." At school they made their store sign and then wrote about it. He did a great job!
Here's some other writing from school lately (I love his drawings too!):
Owen enjoyed his latest Kiwi Co box on probability! Check out this machine he made!
The kids did a great job with their valentine cards!
We had a little 2" snowfall but at least got a snow day out of it! Go figure it was in the high 60s the next day!
Gramps and Gramma came down for a week and got to see a couple basketball games (Ninja, swimming, and gymnastics too).
I worked for quite a few weeks on the set for my school's kickoff assembly for reading "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." It turned out to be a lot of fun but it was definitely a lot of work!
I'm definitely grateful for teachers who are willing to dance like Oompa Loompas and be laughed at! Special thanks to Nana for the Oompa Loompa suspenders!

February
I think basketball craziness in January and February is what I'm going to blame for a lack of blogging. Here's what we were up to besides basketball in February:
The kids get fun monthly boxes in the mail from the Caldwells. Willow is getting art activities for the next age group up and here's a fun pouch she made herself!
We made it bowling with Gramps and Gramma while they were in town:
Some warm days in February were great for getting out to practice basketball in the driveway!
We made it to Star Wars night for the local hockey team. Check out Owen's moves!
The kids made a "city" downstairs with some traffic signs. The adults played along with being the stop lights until the "traffic" started rebelling. I love Owen's "slow" (aka stow) sign:
This year we're going be more diligent about having one-on-one time with the kiddos. We have Mother-Son/Father-Daughter and Mother-Daughter/Father-Son dates on the calendar. In January Willow and I went rock climbing and Chris and Owen went to the trampoline park!
We enjoyed celebrating Chad, Nana, and Kim's birthdays over at Nana and Grandpa's place. The kids love getting together! Check out their silliness here.
We enjoyed watching the Patriots lose in the Superbowl and ate plenty of junk food. The kids stayed up through halftime, except when we looked over during the halftime show to see Owen hadn't quite made it ALL the way through the halftime show:
Willow had her buddy Elena over after school. They had fun making chocolate donuts. (We were all glad they made them!)
More fun with the cousins at a fun indoor playground. Check out Hannah in slow motion.
Owen had Star Wars valentines this year...of course!
Willow had a "vision" for what she wanted her valentines to look like and she did a great job with them!
Valentine's Day isn't complete without some homemade sugar cookies!
and some extra sugar!!
I'm intrigued by who the "secret friend" is that sent this candy gram to Owen through school!!
For February's Mother-Son/Father-Daughter dates, Owen and I went to a park to play together then got icecream and Chris and Willow watched a Harry Potter movie since they'd finished the book.
We're super excited that Duck Donuts opened up in town! We've only had them at the beach but will definitely be tempted with them being available in town now!!
