Elf on the Shelf

Our elf on the shelf, Belle, didn't do too much moving this year but I was happy that the kids moved her a couple times.
We are currently still missing 3 of these candy canes:

Holiday fun and Elf on the Shelf

We checked out the pool at Gramps and Gramma's place. It's always fun to be in a pool in the middle of winter!

The "nonswimmers" played a different kind of "pool."

The kids did great helping decorate the Christmas tree. Just when we thought Owen had gotten the hang of spreading ornaments out, he grouped a bunch of snowflake ornaments together in one area. It gave us flashbacks to when he was younger and would do that. :)

The kids did a great job of making Christmas cookies!

Willow enjoys taking her time with the decorations :)

We enjoyed watching the local Christmas parade. These girls had fire on the ends of their batons!!

We headed up to Illuminights to enjoy Christmas lights. It's fun to see how they change it slightly each year. This year you walked the path in the opposite direction but they'd also added a few new lights, which we enjoyed!

The most snow we saw all winter...ugh!!

Willow and I learned how to make hot chocolate bombs and made them for family Christmas gifts. It was a fun project!

We enjoyed checking out the decorated trees at a local hotel. It hasn't quite built back up to what it had been Pre-Covid but it was still nice!

For "holiday song" dress-up day at school, we wore our Hippo shirts. From L-R is Jennifer, Elaine, myself, and Karen. I'm so thankful to have a team!!

Whiskers always enjoys helping with Christmas wrapping!

It's hard to find a family photo that's not a selfie! Patti snapped this one after church for us and it became our Christmas card photo. We'll call this one "real life" vs "posed, coordinated color life."

Belle, our Elf on the Shelf, made it back this year! It's amazing how she keeps finding new things to do and new places to be!
