It felt like we were gone for most of July but did sneak in a few more fun things!
We went for Round 2 of blueberry picking. It was peak picking and we were able to pick 2 gallons within the first 15 feet of the row in about an hour with 4 pickers. We reached in and came out with a handful - my favorite type of picking!!
We met Nana and Grandpa and the kids at the pool. Owen, Hunter, and Hannah schemed against Willow:
We went over to my "Emmaus Angel Linda"'s house to have lunch and spent the afternoon in her pool with her granddaughter Aubrey.
So many pools have "no diving" signs, so the kids haven't been able to learn how to dive in head first with our limited access to pools. Aubrey's on a swimming team and helped Willow learn how to dive. It was fun to watch her figure it out! (Sidenote: This was the same day that Owen learned to ride his bike on the ballfield at his school, so it was a big "learning new skills" day!)
Linda enjoys tossing grapes into the water for the kids to find and eat :)
and I can't get enough of her beautiful garden!
Owen is all about Pokemon these days. He's taught us how to play so he enjoys playing a few times a day, then can play on the computer against a live opponent as well. He earns coins in the game and will save up to be part of a tournament. If he's not playing Pokemon, he's talking about it, drawing cards, looking at his cards, rearranging his decks, or making a list of cards he wants.
If you can't find us, we're probably watching the Olympics! We watched very few things "live" at night but enjoyed skipping through the commercials on our recordings...well....Owen would've rather watched the commercials... The kids enjoyed learning about new-to-them sports, like artistic swimming, javelin, shotput, water polo, canoe sprint, BMX freestyle, handball, and skateboarding.
We went to a running store to have Owen fitted for new shoes, hoping to invest in a pair that will support his foot positioning when he walks a bit better.
He's still enjoying his activities in his Atlas Crate that he gets each month!
