Gymnastics

We decided to switch the place where Willow takes gymnastics from. We were a bit disappointed with how much time Willow spent waiting for her turn at the previous location. Many times there'd be 8-10 girls with one teacher while on the uneven bars and the teacher would be helping them one at a time while the others sat and sat and sat and waited. We've all (Willow included) been very pleased with her new gym. It's a more "legit" gym so it'll be better if she decides to stick with it for a while. The teachers have all been great and remind me of Ms. Dayna from swimming lessons - fun but firm, which is good for Willow. I swear each week's setup has been the same (warm up game, stretching, floor circuit, bar circuit, trampoline circuit) yet still different each time (warm up has been fun jumping activities with a large rope, hoola hoops, a large parachute, etc.). They even have an inflatable bouncy house they use for practicing their different jumps that they sometimes do on the trampoline. The best part is that everything is a circuit so there's minimal downtime!! She's going going going the entire time. The teachers are great about giving feedback too, and not just always saying "good job." She's been doing great!

Who wouldn't want to be picked to go in the middle and pop all the air out? The best was when they lifted it up, all went inside, then sat on the edges like it was a big tent/balloon, then one of the girls said, "Can we tell scary stories?" then they all giggled.

Willow loves the big foam cubes!

Check her out in action!
