Chris and I had a chance to sneak away to Nashville, TN this weekend for a college friend's wedding thanks to Gramps and Gramma staying with the kids. We had a great time traveling in the car without kids and sleeping in as long as our bodies wanted! Gramps and Gramma report that the kids did great, so I guess will give them the reigns again in July when we head out for a 10th anniversary trip.
Sarah and John hosted out-of-town guests at a local vineyard Saturday evening then a few of us joined them for dinner afterwards. It was great to have a chance to catch up with Sarah before her "big day" when she had so many people to see.
The wedding wasn't until 5pm on Sunday so we had the majority of the day to relax, eat out for dinner, and explore a bit of Nashville. They recommended Radnor Lake, so we checked it out and enjoyed the 2 1/2 mile walk around the lake as well as seeing a bit of wildlife: 6 deer, an owl, a chipmunk, 3 skinks, a bull frog, many turtles, 1 large snapping turtle, many squirrels and birds.

If you can make out the deer at the end of the trail, I thought this was going to be my good deer photo. Little did we know that the deer was going to walk down the trail towards us and get within 10 feet of us before hopping off the trail and into the woods!
He surely wasn't afraid of us!
Sarah and John had beautiful weather for their outdoor wedding at a local plantation. It was a great ceremony and fun reception!
Kelley and Brian flew up from Florida and it was great to catch up with Kelley and to meet her husband for the first time. The last time I'd seen Kelley or Sarah was at our wedding almost 10 years ago!
