Since we bailed on our canoeing plans due to forecasted rain, we joined Kim, Chad, Hannah, Hunter, and Nana apple picking at a great fairly local U-pick apple orchard. We still got rained on, but it was a great orchard that we hope to make it back to! This is only their 2nd year with u-pick and the trees are all small enough that the kids have plenty to reach! They even invite you to try the apples out before picking (!!) and had 10 different varieties to choose from! The price was right too, at $1 a pound. We're going back to our favorite apple orchard next weekend, but this is a close 2nd (if they had fresh apple donuts they might take the lead!).
