Kitten fun

We're soaking up all our time at home with the kittens and really enjoying this cute, playful stage they're in. The kids both come into our room to see them first thing in the morning and wait anxiously for them to wake up after naps so they can play with them. Willow has gotten more confidence in picking them up. Unfortunately Whiskers doesn't like the process of being picked up and Tilly won't stay up too long, which leaves Willow disappointed at times. She just loves them so much!! After about 3 days at our house, staying in the master bedroom, the kittens started showing interest in what was outside of our bedroom door. We started doing "monitored outings" with Willow and Owen each partnering up with a kitten to watch them. After doing short excursions out of the room, they started having longer ones, and are now unmonitored with our door open most of the day. They don't hang out downstairs too much. They mostly enjoy playing on the stairs. At night they'll each spend a while sleeping in our bed, otherwise they're sleeping under it. They have playful moments in the middle of the night but they're pretty quiet. One night they were wrestling on my legs so I set them off the bed, then they jumped back up and kept wrestling. I put them down again for them to jump up and wrestle again, so they ended up in their first "timeout" in the master bath with a handful of toys and the door shut. ;) My phone is quickly filling up storage with kitten pictures and videos. Believe it or not, this post is the pared down version!

Whiskers is quite a lap cat. She doesn't like the process of being picked up but once she's got 4 paws on something, she gets comfortable quick!

Different day, same position:

Tilly looks so little checking out "the big wide world" (aka house):

Outside the window looks tempting from downstairs too!

The kittens are trying to convince us that bathmats are not meant to be spread out nicely and kept in one place:

The kittens have tackled the stairs and become very comfortable going up and down them! They started with one, then two, then four, then the whole flight!

We bought a few new toys for them. This one is a favorite but has to be put away at night ;)

Whiskers is so proper with her paws crossed:

Cat or dog?? Whiskers loves to carry her toys in her mouth! It's the cutest!!

Tilly likes to carry her yellow strip too!

They are currently *just* small enough to fit behind the chest of drawers. It's a quick escape route when wrestling and you need a breather.

It took them a couple days to figure out how to get to the top of this on their own. Now they wrestle on it too!! (Watch for Whiskers' air time at the end!!)

Willow has timed it right a couple times and gotten Whiskers to sleep on her lap!

Tilly humored Owen in looking at his Clone Trooper drawings:

Tilly looks like she's smiling!

My pillow and between our pillows have become favorite sleeping places. This picture was in the middle of the night when I felt her wrapped around the top of my head. I was mistaken in thinking it was MY pillow:

It's a pillow big enough for 3!

They won't be able to fit between these balusters for long!

So many naps! So much cuteness!

I'd been doing it all wrong! Tilly doesn't want to be on your legs...she wants her face jammed in your armpit! Maybe she'll become a lap cat yet!
