Tilly and Whiskers

We keep referring to Tilly and Whiskers as "the kittens." Makes me wonder if we'll still call them that in 2, 5, or 10 years from now. It's hard to believe we've already had them for a year! They're both still really playful and enjoy their boxes. Tilly loves a good stick or string to chase. Whiskers loves a ball, especially on the stairs. They both love to chase each other and pounce on bugs outside. Tilly loves petting "on her terms," we say. She can't leave me alone when I'm on the elliptical and demands attention from me most then. Whiskers will take petting at most times. They both do great with visitors. They both like to jump into Willow's bed and are happiest when they're outside. Whiskers is good about staying in the backyard and Tilly has gotten better. They're both pretty good about coming inside when we whistle unless it juuuuuust hasn't been quite long enough. Lawnmowers, the AC unit turning on, and school buses backing up with all scare them to the back door to come in.

Tilly has only jumped to the top of the fence one time (to our knowledge). She jumped from where Whiskers is on stumps by the fence. Thankfully there are dogs on all sides of our backyard so we think she learned her lesson.

 Whiskers enjoyed finding Easter eggs too! It's fun when one toy becomes many toys! ;)

Chris read an article about kitten care that mentioned that cats enjoy hunting/working for their food. It was fun to check out the options online. Whiskers has really enjoyed this ferris wheel feeder that we found!
