Junior Marshal and Junior year

Willow had a chance to be a Junior Marshal because she has a 4.0 or higher GPA. She was selected to be one of two students that escorted the graduates in and out of the graduation ceremony. They livestreamed the event and I was able to get a few screenshots of her when she was in view. What a great honor!
Seeing a few of her friends graduate made it sink in that it'll be her next year!! Yikes!
Willow had a chance to participate in Leadership again. She was matched with a student named Autumn. I didn't realize until after she took this picture at the end of the year, that I actually know Autumn from attending my school when she was in elementary school!
Willow had a great junior year academically and socially. We didn't have lunch drama this year (whew!) and she was included in some social gatherings that she enjoyed. We don't see her much now that she's driving on her own!
She made me breakfast for my birthday and even did all the shopping and cooking by herself! She's a sweet girl!
The kids save $1 of their allowance to use on others. Willow used the money she'd saved plus some of her own to make bags for the homeless. We keep them in the cars and give them to people on the side of the road. She also wrote a sweet prayer for them on the bag!
Willow got involved with the Leo Club this year which does service activities in town. She did a few shifts with eye glass recycling, organizing and labeling glasses which were donated.
Unfortunately Willow's Burton performing arts program was cut and won't be moved to the new building that is being constructed. It made her junior year in the program extra special. She's made great friendships with students from other schools in the valley that she wouldn't have met otherwise.
Willow was nominated by her Burton teachers as a "Burton Star" for her leadership as dance captain for their production of Hadestown.
Since the performing arts program was ending, the teachers allowed the students to go through the costumes and props to take what they wanted. A group of them took jean jackets but also had quite a photo session in them together!
