Summer Goals

We'd made a deal with Owen that when he was consistently keeping his underwear dry (aka ready for the 3-yr old preschool class) then we'd get him a big Lego set. We've tracked his success:

and were ready to pick out a Lego set!

He did a great job of checking out all of the options before making his decision on the police station set:

He didn't waste any time when we got home!

A few days later....done!

Our summer goal for Willow was for her to be able to tie her tennis shoes by herself. These are the first pair of shoes she's ever had that have laces so it was never an issue in Kindergarten, but we don't want her to be in 1st grade and not know how to tie them on her own. We'll see how many times they come undone during the day, but she'll at least be able to retie them on her own. She'll be getting the new Cinderella movie on DVD when it comes out in a couple weeks!

 In other news, Owen's obsession with this Lego book + having it read to him a million times = Owen "reading" the book on his own. Check him out!
