Chris and I enjoyed tent camping in our "early years" but have not really thought about it since the kids came along. Recently, though, we've been thinking they might be ready to give it a try, so we did a trial run in the backyard. They both did great! It was us old guys who woke up with kinks in our backs! We even did an outdoor dinner to make it even a step closer to the real thing! Since the kids were up late to see the stars, they also got to chase down fireflies! Here's to more camping adventures in the future!!

Chris even played around with his telescope he got for Christmas. Without knowing it beforehand, we later found out it was a rare "strawberry moon."
S'mores in the backyard are fun even when you're not camping out!
