Blueberry picking!

We've enjoyed going to a local you-pick blueberry farm for probably 5 years now (even before we moved here!). Each year we go is a different experience when going with kiddos, but I have to say this year is much easier than the past few. One of the sweet owners still remembers when we lost Owen 2 years ago!!! (not sure that story ever made the blog....). According to the sweet owners' email the week we went, people were able to walk away with their gallon after 30 minutes of picking. Well......with our crew, it was a 2-hr pick for a gallon for each of us. In our defense, we had 2 little ones who were actively working against us!! We also learned that Willow and Owen are not yet old enough to be responsible for keeping their cousin in a designated area. Lesson learned. Hunter did a great job hanging out for over an hour before he was "done." We enjoyed multiple loaves of blueberry-banana bread as well as blueberry muffins, blueberry waffles, blueberries in cereal, and just plain blueberries!

Owen's bucket never made it much beyond this:

Willow and Owen enjoyed making Hunter laugh at lunch:
