Tilly and Whiskers

We've enjoyed watching Tilly and Whiskers grow for 2 months now! They've brought us so much joy and laughter already and seem to have doubled in size!

Whiskers is definitely the lap cat!

She doesn't mind having her stomach pet which takes some getting used to for us since Alli would go into full on attack mode if her stomach was touched.

If you can't catch a bird, you can at least enjoy attacking the feathers!

Whiskers enjoys watching our game:

Is that really comfortable??

Whiskers has gotten into Willow's bed on her own! She climbs up her step stool and jumps onto her dresser, then into her bed! She can get down on her own too!

Whiskers "helps" with the blog:

I had new teacher training online due to switching school systems. Both kittens checked in on me during the 4 hour session:

Whiskers decided it wasn't that interesting:

They are pretty precious when they sleep together!

Whiskers was the first one to show interest in going outside. She would put two paws in the grass but never four. Tilly quickly became more interested in being outside and surprised us by not hesitating at all with walking in the grass! One day, when we weren't watching, we looked out to find both kittens in the grass. Willow had decided to just put Whiskers in the grass. Thankfully she ended up being fine with it and now they're both comfortable in the grass and have explored 95% of the backyard. Tilly LOVES to be outside and will meow and meow and meow to go out! She's quick to slip out when the door opens (backyard only) and has even caught on that when someone puts on shoes it indicates that the door is about to be opened and she gets ready! We're still working on coming to a whistle. They'll do it in any room in the house (to get treats) but coming in from outside is different. Whiskers has come in 4-5 times when I whistle but Tilly never has. She's even getting pretty quick and will run away when we come to pick her up (grrrrrr). Owen noticed that she ran in on her own when she was scared of a lawnmower starting up one time. I tried ringing a bell at her to scare her and it's worked 2 out of 3 times to get her to come in. Hopefully she'll figure out it's easier if she listens to the whistle (and gets treats!!).

Sometimes when it's warmer they end up just laying down under the trampoline and enjoying the fresh air!

The view from inside isn't bad either:

Tilly's working on helping me with puzzles:

They both love to lay on the window seat (the pillow in particular!):

They are the sweetest when they give each other a bath! (here and here)

Tilly enjoyed playing chase with Owen in the grass!

The blind strings are still a fun toy!

Whiskers has gotten soooooo much better about being held! When we first got her she would meow frantically and stick all four paws out when she was picked up. We've learned to hold her back paws too and now she doesn't meow at all and has even learned to like it!

This paper stuffing from inside a package ended up being a fun toy for about a month!!

The kittens still enjoy a good wrestling match!
