We were excited to be invited to attend Shaila's wedding on the Oregon coast and honored to have Chris be asked to officiate the ceremony. It was a beautiful location for the wedding and felt like a destination wedding of sorts with people attending the wedding staying at two rental houses for the weekend. One house was on the beach (where we stayed) and the other was along a river, where the reception was held.
Who needs a florist when you can create your own beautiful arrangements??
The girls had a beautiful vision for simple, elegant decorations for the ceremony and reception!
Chris tries to lighten the mood....always :)
The boys tensely smiling when they realize the caterer isn't answering the phone to place the order for the reception. The website said they were closed (eek!!) so friends were sent over to place the order in person. It turns out they were just super slammed and unable to answer the phone.
Unintentional color coordination:
The wedding guests included the wedding party, 2 other friends, the kids and myself. After Scott and Shaila walked down the aisle, we created a half circle around them. It was a sweet ceremony to celebrate their marriage!
Willow took a video of the ceremony if you'd like to watch!
Introducing Shaila and Anthony Shannon-Thorn!
We had to recreate this picture from our wedding, 16 years earlier. Don't blink because it sure seems like yesterday!
Smiles all around!
And we all froze for the reception too :) But the food worked out and was delicious!
