Camping & Hunter's birthday

We enjoyed our 2nd camping outing with the Caldwells and celebrating Hunter's 6th birthday. There was a campfire made by the campground the first night, so we went to make s'mores and heard a presentation about WWI connections to the local area. A colleague had given me gigantic marshmallows left over from her son's wedding and the kids enjoyed them for sure!

Kim got the kids these fun "Camping Cousins" shirts :)

We enjoyed a hike to a nice lookout of the lake!

We played lots of games!

It was pretty hot on Saturday and we knew we'd be out on the party boat from 2-6:00, so we set up the kids' bed as a table for lunch to enjoy the AC.

We had lots of fun on the party boat! We found a nice cove to hang out in for a couple hours. There were lots of other boats on the lake with it being a weekend (last time we rented the boat it was on a weekday in the summer) so it worked out well to be out of the way. It was really refreshing on such a warm day!

It'd been a while since Willow had practiced her dive. She remembered pretty quickly.

Nana, Grandpa, Barry, and Loretta enjoyed the boat too!

We spent about an hour driving around the lake.

The kids were definitely worn out by the end!

We had hamburgers and hotdogs for dinner back at the campsite, then the kids ran around the woods playing their "Hunter" game for about an hour. I'm not sure how they had energy for it!!

On Sunday we packed up then headed to the beach area of the lake for a bit before Hunter's party. Willow doesn't quite get the "air time" these days that Hannah and Hunter do!

Hunter had a fun Minecraft themed party at one of the picnic shelters. Some of his buddies came and enjoyed pizza, cake, and the playground.

You'd better keep your eyes on this one, Aunt Kim!!

We added our 2nd sticker to the camper!!

We were super excited when the hitch still worked when we got home too ;)

Here I am trying to be like the cool kids on Instagram:
