We weren't able to head up to PA for the 4th of July so we made the best of the options at home....floating the river, baking patriotic "cupcakes in a cone," enjoying the local fireworks show, and trying our own true fireworks for the first time!
Willow even offered cupcakes to the neighbors!
Fireworks are hard to photograph!
The church sells fireworks at a tent outside of Walmart. We bought some $20 options and didn't realize how much stress it would cause Chris. I just assumed we'd set it off in the street but Chris was concerned about it not being our property and being too close to cars. My next suggestion was the intersection or culdesac...but neither of those are our property either. After searching the company's website for safety details, Chris felt best about the back yard, armed with a hose and presoaked grass. :) We are happy to report that there were no sparks, fires, nor unexpected explosions! :) Check out the show below,
