Potty Boot Camp

Owen has a deadline for mastering the potty since he's not able to be in the 3-yr old preschool class in the fall unless he's potty trained. We've tried doing the potty timer every 45 minutes for about 3 weeks with mixed success. Ultimately he has to learn how to sense for himself when he needs to go, so we've been going bottomless for the past 4 days as part of our "Potty Boot Camp." Overall we feel like he's made good progress through the first 4 days, with our biggest successes being poo-poo in the potty (!!!) and multiple times when he goes pee-pee in the potty without being asked/reminded.

We've done M&Ms for successes ever since he first started sitting on the potty, so we decided to add in the extra motivating factors of stickers and the reward of a Lego set (small) when he put his first poo-poo in the potty. We've been trying to bribe him with a large Lego set for when he has only smiley faces on his charts in underwear for a few days.

Beware of these X-rated pics of Owen's entertainment as we wait for the pee-pee/poo-poo to come:

The below-pictured baseball playing outside in underwear and shorts was fun, yet unsuccessful =(
