We had a great morning kayaking at Carvins Cove. Thankfully it was 100% better than our experience paddle boating last year! The kids (and adults!) all had great attitudes and the weather was surprisingly enjoyable for being mid-August!
This turtle and a heron were the main wildlife that we saw:
Willow gave paddling a try!
We had two races. Chris and Willow won the first one, and Owen and I won the second race (Chris may or may not have been paddling backwards the whole time to give me a fair chance.). Gramps and Gramma celebrated when they reached the destination regardless of their distance behind us:
