Through the library's summer reading program we are able to get in to certain local places at a discounted rate. The science museum is one of them. We'd been there once before - two years ago - but I felt like the kids just ran from touching one thing to the next and didn't learn a thing, nor slow down enough for me to paraphrase anything. Our experience now, two years later, was very similar, with a lot of rushing around, mostly due to the excitement over all the cool exhibits to look at and touch. Willow did actually do some reading, so maybe we'll try again in 2 year for an even better educational experience.
There was a touch pool but the only touching was done by Mama:
This was awesome!!! Moving the sand made the topography of the land change and the projector on the ceiling reflected that by the brown/blue for land/water adjusting.
Looks like they'd make great meteorologists!
Now the admission to the butterfly garden is included so we got to see that for the first time. The kids weren't too relaxed with the unpredictability of the butterflies around them but they were beautiful!
Arcade games for free??? Yes please!!!

They had a cool paper airplane exhibit that Willow tried out.
The rooftop of the building is free to go to, so we should probably go more often!
They both enjoyed the coy pond on the roof. Owen said it was his favorite part!
