Holiday fun!

We've had a lot of fun getting ready for Christmas! The kids enjoyed our link countdown with an activity each day and this year we added a Jesse tree devotional each day to try to keep us focused on the reason for the season!

Of his own doing, Owen picked out something from his room to give Hunter for Christmas. He insisted on wrapping it AND writing the tag!

We got them to stand without a milk container OR hot glue! Score!!

We love these super-cute "howl"aday PJs from the Murrays!!

Willow's friend had a fun party at a cupcake shop. The girls had a great time!

Owen's class made gingerbread houses and his buddy's mom sent me this picture:

We stopped by the mall to see Santa. The kids wrote their wish list for him:

Edible Christmas trees!

We've enjoyed going to a local hotel that has numerous Christmas tree displays each year. They're different each year and always incredible!!

Willow had some friends over to bake Christmas cookies and they stayed over for pizza dinner. The mess on the floor is less each year! It's fun to see them become pretty independent with making the cookies!

We made some Oreo peppermint truffles too!

We saw some pretty amazing Christmas lights around town, but this is the only picture I have to show for it...

Another skill we can attribute to Kindergarten is Owen's interest in writing! He came with me to Willow's gymnastics practice and wrote and illustrated a book about Rudolph while we were there! Here he is reading it.  Here's another one, this time a "two way book"
