Willow: End of 5th grade

Willow's had a bit of an unusual end to elementary school. She's handled it as best as can be expected but you can't help but feel sad for her as she lists off things that she missed out on...graduation, SCA assembly, Field Day, etc. Her teachers gave her some fun learning activities to do and she kept a good attitude about them. Many of her activities she was able to share on Flipgrid, which is a way for her to share her 1 min video, see her classmates' videos, and see video responses from her teachers. Here's one she did on states of matter while she made brownies. Here's her writing a comic between a vertebrate and an invertebrate:

Her school had a special sign made for the 5th graders. It was rainy ALL day but we were able to still get a picture with it.

They also had a special drive thru for 5th graders with other staff members present (despite the cold rain!!) to wave goodbyes to them.

The 5th graders were gifted a middle school tshirt, magnets, and a slideshow on a DVD.

When going through her journals from school, I found this page. They'd walked around to each others' journals to write a nice message.

Here's a walk down memory lane for you! 1st day of school, school picture, and picture with her teacher from each year:

And a few comparisons to emphasize how time has flown!!
