We stopped by the Yankee Candle outlet. You could probably spend hours in the store but we were hoping to see the snow (in actuality it might've been soap?) and pass time waiting for the rain to blow over. Willow dipped a candle, the kids picked out a toy to buy with their own money, and we got a small bag of candy. It was a fun, brief stop!
We made it to the beach during an unseasonably warm (high 70s!!) December day. We enjoyed a picnic while hearing the waves crashing, then played in the sand and ran around for a while. Unfortunately I forgot our sandbox toys so we stopped by Dollar Tree on our way. They didn't have any "official" sandbox toys, but a ladle, spoon rest, strainer, and small bins served as our sandbox toys!
We made it to one of our favorite trampoline parks. We'd only been there once before we moved. It was fun to see Owen enjoy it more, being older. It's a fun place for adults too!!
We enjoyed the indoor pool and racquetball courts at the location where we stayed. Playing racquetball, per se, didn't happen so much, but the kids put forth effort and Owen enjoyed chasing the ball around.

The kids did a little "paint your own pottery" activity available where we stayed too!
Willow started her first sewing kit while we were gone. She's caught on pretty fast and seems to enjoy it more each time!
The kids enjoyed seeing the geese in the pond out the back door of where we stayed.
The rain cleared away for a while so we could enjoy one of our favorite parks there. The zipline is super fun, as well as the rest of the pirate-themed playground.
We got tickets to see the 8 million lights at Busch Garden's "Christmastown." The kids did great without a stroller (first time!!) and enjoyed seeing the lights and a show called "Scrooge No More." We were hoping to see the professional iceskater who was performing in another show, but the weather was too warm and the ice wasn't staying frozen enough, so the show was cancelled. There were plenty of lights to see, though, and both the train and skyride were lit up!
We wanted some of our money back for these lights that weren't working ;)
