The "Girls in Action" group at church had a sleepover last weekend in the basement of the church. Girls had to bring a female adult with them (those are some smart coordinators!!). They enjoyed doing some Zumba and Yoga, played games, made iced cookies for the Ronald McDonald house, Valentines for people at nursing homes, ate ice cream and hot chocolate, took pics with props, and watched Dolphin Tale. You know it's going to be a late night when the movie doesn't start until 10:30!! The girls all had a good time and the moms all enjoyed having time to chat! I've decided, though, that there needs to be a special memo to 1st grade parents (the youngest able to come) explaining that when they say to bring a sleeping bag, they really mean to bring an air mattress AND sleeping bag. That thin carpet doesn't really soften nor warm the cold concrete basement floor! Ouch! Willow had a great time, though. She was one of the last 15 girls to lay down (out of 75) and when I woke up and looked over at her, she said in a perky voice, "I've been up a looooong time!" Oh my! Thankfully she held it together all the next day! Meanwhile, this mama took a good nap while Owen did that afternoon!
