Owen continued with karate throughout the summer and earned his 2nd black stripe on his yellow belt at the end of the summer. He's started to go to some adult classes too, which have challenged him physically but also helped him to mature a bit in class!
We tried to play a joke on Willow, coming out of basketball practice, but she's too cool to fall for our tricks:
Ice cream to celebrate!
One of the things Owen enjoys at karate is when they get to hit the punching bags. Chris looked into it and discovered the actual bag was pretty cheap, with lots of options for filling it on your own. He ended up getting 60 pounds of clothes from Goodwill to cut into strips and fill it. It's hanging in the garage and Owen has enjoyed it!
